Olo, the digital commerce platform for restaurants, today announced that Scooter’s Coffee digital ordering now runs on Olo. The backend for the award-winning Scooter’s Coffee mobile app is powered by Ordering, and Rails powers the brand’s first marketplace delivery channel across participating stores among its 900+ locations nationwide.
Scooter’s Coffee is one of the country’s fastest-growing coffee brands. Its brand promise, Amazing People, Amazing Drinks…Amazingly Fast!, is built on speed and hospitality. Olo was built to protect those same two things, and the first week of the new partnership put both to the test.
Olo quickly stood up the fully customizable menu, configured point-of-sale routing, and loaded all 900+ locations to stand up Rails in June, enabling Scooter’s Coffee to keep the original marketplace launch date it set with its previous ordering provider. Then Olo rebuilt its digital ordering infrastructure in under 90 days to complete the app migration in September, converting every existing app user within a week of launch and having orders flowing from day one.
“I define partnership as what happens when no one is looking, in preparation for when they do,” said Tyler Marpes, Vice President of Technology at Scooter’s Coffee. “Watching Olo stand up our full menu, every modifier, quickly and seamlessly is exactly what that looks like. We’re excited about this new partnership with Olo, and where we can go next together.”
As Scooter’s Coffee has grown its national footprint and expanded its menu offerings, their digital ordering needs continued to increase in complexity. When evaluating platforms during this shift, Scooter’s Coffee chose Olo for the 99.99% uptime and infrastructure built for franchise complexity. They now use Olo for content and menu management and POS integration APIs.
“Scooter’s built a brand on being Amazingly Fast, and delivering that standard at 900+ locations takes technology that doesn’t disrupt operations or the guest experience,” said Noah Glass, Founder & CEO of Olo. “This is what Olo is built for: high transaction volume, franchise complexity, and comprehensive menu systems. Scooter’s looked at its options carefully, and we’re proud to be its platform behind what comes next.”
