Veggie Grill will collaborate with Cena Vegan for its new winter celebration menu, launching today, December 14, 2018. Veggie Grill’s chef-inspired, 100 percent plant-based food aligns with the Cena Vegan brand, which offers authentically flavored plant-based meats and is a local sensation in the Los Angeles area.

In partnership with Cena Vegan, Veggie Grill will offer the Barbacoa Torta with barbacoa, mashed pinto beans, lettuce, tomato, mashed avocado and pickled onion on a telera roll; and Barbacoa Tacos with Barbacoa, lettuce, avocado, pickled onion and fresh limes. Made by hand in small batches, the Cena Vegan barbacoa is smoky, sweet and spicy and simmered in rich adobo with onion.

“When creating the winter menu, we wanted our plant-based Barbacoa Torta to replicate the same vibrant flavors as the meat version,” says Veggie Grill CEO Steve Heeley. “At Veggie Grill, we serve a broader demographic of veggie-positive guests, who are looking to eat better. We seek out brands who have similar missions, like Cena Vegan, which is a local company that is also looking to make a difference in how people eat.”

In addition to Barbacoa Torta, Veggie Grill will offer dishes just in time for New Year’s Resolutions, including the Whole Earth Bowl with lentil and quinoa melange, organic grilled tofu, roasted broccoli, fire-roasted carrots, grilled zucchini, golden beets, ginger miso dressing and hemp seeds; andBanh Mi Salad with a choice of organic crispy or grilled tofu, green papaya salad, green cabbage, cucumber, basil, cilantro, mint, marinated kale and five spice dressing, which is back on the menu due to popular demand. Other winter specials include the gluten-free Beyond Crispy Tacos with 3 crispy corn tortillas featuring Beyond taco meat, lettuce, pico de gallo and spicy crema; Chickin’ Zucchini Noodle Soup (only available in a bowl as it’s an entrée item) with fresh zucchini noodles, grilled chickin’, carrots and celery accompanied by grilled sourdough bread; Tomato Basil Soup (available in a cup or bowl); and Olive Oil Cake; among others.

Since every season offers new, delicious veggies, the winter menu celebrates these ingredients for the vitality and energy it supports. Veggie Grill wants its guests to be satisfied and feel good about what they eat as they move forward on their path. Veggie Grill, has 31 locations in California, Oregon, Washington and Illinois.
