Zoup! Opening First Maryland Location in October

Zoup!, the fast casual restaurant known for its award-winning soups and made-to-order salads and sandwiches, is set to open its first Frederick location—and first in the state of Maryland—on Monday, October 15. The new restaurant is owned by Jeff and Lori Overstreet, who bring years of experience in the customer service industry to their new role as restaurant owners.

“We fell in love with Zoup! as customers while traveling on business trips, so we couldn’t be more excited to bring Zoup! to Maryland starting right here in Frederick,” says Jeff Overstreet, whose family has lived in nearby Howard County for 16 years. “We can’t wait to introduce our friends and neighbors to the comforting soups, salads and sandwiches at Zoup!” The Overstreets plan on opening several additional locations in the area over the next five years.

Zoup! is currently searching for energetic team members dedicated to bringing Frederick a tasty, healthy alternative to fast food with a friendly and welcoming approach to customer service. Zoup! features a wide variety of award-winning soups with 12 rotating daily varieties, including low-fat, low-cal, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options, all served with a hunk of freshly baked bread. Customer favorites include Chicken Potpie, Lobster Bisque and Brewhouse Cheddar, but guests are encouraged to find the soup that’s perfect for them by sampling before they order. The menu also features seasonal, made-to-order salads and sandwiches, and all menu items are available in convenient catering sizes for groups of 10 or more.
