CiCi's Pizza, known for its endless pizza, pasta, salad and dessert buffet, named Richard Hoying as its new senior manager of real estate. Hoying, a real estate and franchise executive with more than 25 years of experience, will support CiCi’s strategic growth strategy through real estate development in domestic and international markets, as well as in nontraditional venues. Among additional responsibilities, Hoying will also leverage broker relations to support corporate and franchise growth and will lead franchisees through the real estate development process.
Hoying joins CiCi’s at a time when the approximately 500-unit concept is expected to grow in new and underserved markets in the coming years. Hoying will support this national growth strategy for corporate and franchise development.
With the hiring, Hoying becomes an integral part of a franchise development team that focuses on new and existing franchise growth, market planning, construction, and real estate support.
An industry veteran who’s worked with such brands as Red Mango, Papa John’s and Pizza Hut, Hoying has spent nearly his entire career in all aspects of real estate development. “Richard comes to us at a time when CiCi’s is positioned for strategic and tactical growth, and with his help, he will strengthen our system through in-depth real estate analysis and unparalleled venue and lease negotiation support,” says Thomas McCord, vice president of real estate and franchising.
To attract single and multi-unit operators with proven experience in team leadership, CiCi’s Pizza offers four distinct revenue streams: the custom buffet, catering, To Go, and the game room. Varying business prototypes, ranging from 750 to 3,600 square feet, are available to new and existing franchisees designed to maximize profits for the owner and provide for convenient brand availability for CiCi’s guests.
