Restaurant group Farm Burger announced David Danowitz as its new Chief Operating Officer. With more than 25 years of restaurant industry experience, Danowitz brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the Farm Burger team. He has previously held operations positions with national restaurant brands such as the Goldbergs Group and Mellow Mushroom.
As Chief Operating Officer at Farm Burger, Danowitz is responsible for overseeing the company’s operations and identifying opportunities for development across all departments. A top priority for Danowitz is refining systems and processes to optimize operations and foster growth.
“I was drawn to Farm Burger because of how it brings us back to our roots by focusing on the quality of the food and where it comes from,” Danowitz says. “The company has a lot of potential and is poised for growth, and I look forward to helping bring that growth to fruition.”
Prior to joining the Farm Burger team, Danowitz’s experience includes serving as the Chief Operating Officer at the Goldbergs Group of Restaurant Companies, and as the Vice President of Operations at Mellow Mushroom. While working with Goldbergs, Danowitz helped to restructure systems related to labor, purchasing, sanitation, budgeting and marketing. During his nine-year tenure with Mellow Mushroom, Danowitz oversaw company and franchise operations and training for more than 190 stores across 22 states. Danowitz’s work helped to decrease food costs and increase both guest satisfaction and social media satisfaction, earning the company a “Best in Class” recognition.
“Farm Burger is thrilled to welcome an inspirational leader who shares our values and vision for making local, sustainable food accessible at scale,” says Jason Mann, co-founder of Farm Burger. “David will help us navigate the inevitable challenges inherent to growth while maintaining the experience that makes Farm Burger special.”
