CBRE Group, Inc. has arranged a 2,865-square-foot lease for The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. of Pikesville. This will be the first location of the Boca Raton, Florida.-based restaurant chain in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
The restaurant will be located in Hooks Village, 25 Hooks Lane in Pikesville, Maryland, and will open late in the first quarter of 2012.
“The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. has a unique concept with delicious food that I know Pikesville and Maryland residents will embrace as others have across the country,” says Bob Ammon, the development agent that’s overseeing the company’s expansion in the state. “The company is growing exponentially, is run by a top-notch team of executives, and will soon become a household name brand.”
The company plans to roll out locations across the country, including as many as 25 in Maryland, from the eastern shore and northern border of the state to St. Mary’s County in the southern part of the state.
The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. is known for its proprietary water treatment system that replicates the purity, quality, and temperature of Brooklyn’s renowned water that is the secret ingredient in its food, beverage, and bakery products, and that makes it possible to create authentic New York City bagels anywhere in the world.
“This is the first Brooklyn Water Bagel restaurant to open not just in Maryland, but in the entire Mid-Atlantic Region,” says Tracy Holehan, senior associate at CBRE. “This first location needed to be a homerun, and Hooks Village met all of the criteria and offered the right demographic.”
Holehan represented The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. in the transaction. Ken Bernstein of Abeshouse Partners represented the landlord, Hooks Village, LLC.
