As the federal shutdown enters its fifth week, local Subway restaurants are uniting to help furloughed government workers across the country. From providing free sandwiches for TSA employees to distributing and donating Subway gift cards in areas of need, the local Franchisees have been working to making sure people impacted by the shutdown are fed.

Local Subway Franchisees are engaging activities like:

  • Feeding TSA workers in Virginia (Roanoke, Tidewater, Richmond), South Carolina (Charleston), Indiana (Fort Wayne) and Florida
  • Donating to a local Coast Guard base (Tidewater, VA)
  • Giving free 6” subs to furloughed employees (Rancho Cucamonga, CA)
  • Dstributing gift cards in Washington, D.C., and Indianapolis, IN
