Restaurateurs, foodservice operators, consultants, and dealers from the region will attend the third annual Foodservice Equipment Expo sponsored by the Southern California Gas Company, taking place on April 16-17, 2013. There will be over one hundred foodservice equipment representatives showcasing the most advanced energy saving equipment with hands-on demonstrations plus exciting special events and educational programs.
This show features high-efficiency commercial food service equipment that can reduce energy consumption by 10-60 percent. There will be hands-on interaction with everything from commercial ranges, gas and electric deep-fat fryers, refrigerators and freezers, and ice-cube machines, to the latest gadgets and utensils.
This is the perfect venue to bring staff as well as current customers and new prospects to select equipment that is cost-effective and meets the needs of their business. The expo is housed in the award-winning model of energy-efficiency and environmentally friendly technologies, the LEED Certified Energy Resource Center (ERC) in Downey, California.
“We are excited to host with our partners and other organizations that all share the same vision: educating foodservice customers about choices in developing efficient and sustainable kitchens,” says Nicole O'Rourke, senior food service program advisor, at Southern California Gas. “This expo is a great place to discuss ideas and tackle issues of sustainability, including managing energy use without sacrificing performance. It is an excellent model that shows how public/private partnerships can address these issues and help grow a regional economy.”
