The inaugural Jackie B. Trujillo SOAR Award—the Standard-Setter for Opportunity, Advancement and Recognition–will be presented at the 2006 Women’s Foodservice Forum’s Annual Leadership Luncheon to a company that has put in place and actively implements company-wide practices that embody the WFF’s mission.

The award has been established to recognize Jackie B. Trujillo, one of the foodservice industry’s most ardent champions of career training and advancement, a founding member of the WFF and the 1996 winner of WFF’s Trailblazer Award. Trujillo spent her entire career with Harman Management, the first franchisee of Kentucky Fried Chicken. She began as a carhop in 1953 and retired in 1995 as Chairman and CEO.

The award is open to all companies that have 250 or more employees and that supports the Women’s Foodservice Forum through sponsorship and/or membership activities. A senior representative of the SOAR award-winning company will be required to participate in the WFF’s Annual NRA Leadership Luncheon, held in Chicago, on Monday, May 22, 2006.

Submit nominations via email to Patti venetucci, Exeuctive Director, Women’s Foodservice Forum at pvenetucci@womensfoodserviceforum.com or fax them to 312 780 7592.
