Panasonic is adding new dimensions of mounting flexibility and operational capability to its line of POS (point-of-sale) workstations with a new introduction that’s perfect for virtually any environment from retail to grocery to convenience stores.
The Stingray Envo, available now, builds on the popularity of the Panasonic Stingray POS terminal while incorporating new and enhanced features that allow the user to customize the workstation to meet specific needs as well as mount the workstation where and how it is best suited to the location needs.
“Panasonic continues to push the boundaries of form and function of POS hardware solutions,” says Rick Elliott, Director of Food Services, Panasonic System Communications Company of North America.
“The new Envo exceeds the versatility of any other POS workstations available today and allows the user to create the ideal workstation solution for their needs.”
Envo’s smaller footprint allows easy installation of a workstation with no additional parts required under the counter, freeing up valuable storage space.
The adjustable 15” LCD display can be pole or wall-mounted in addition to the standard workstation configuration. Users can also configure the Envo with a 12” or 15” customer-facing display and order Envo with capacitive or resistive touch-screens or card and biometric readers.
Envo is WiFi-enabled for additional installation flexibility and it runs on virtually any operating system (OS) or software, so users can choose the best software to suit their business needs.
Two powered USB ports enable a printer or other equipment to run off the workstation, and digital signage or kitchen video can also be powered from Envo. Additionally, Envo supports two hard drives with RAID (Redundant Array Of Independent Disks) capability, allowing changes to hardware or software upgrades to be easily and cost-efficiently implemented in the field.
Envo features a highly durable aluminum alloy chassis, super-quiet fan and state-of-the-art technology from Intel including its AMT (Advanced Management Technology) and vPro Technology for improved remote manageability, software flexibility, and security.
Supporting Panasonic’s green initiatives, Envo has earned Energy Star qualification for reduced power requirements.
To spotlight the versatility of the new Stingray Envo POS workstation, Panasonic has created the “Where Do You Envo?” promotion which is designed to encourage consumers to showcase varied applications for the Envo.
