Super Bowl XXXVII will have a distinct Baja flavor this year as the premiere game festivities tap San Diego’s own Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill to provide thousands of ravenous football fans with a bold and flavorful mix of chicken, steak and seafood tacos, quesadillas and burritos.
“Nothing says San Diego like Rubio’s,” said Ralph Rubio, chairman and CEO of Rubio’s Restaurants Inc. “The fresh and flavorful cuisine of Rubio’s is as much a part of the culture of San Diego as our fresh air and pristine beaches,” Rubio added. “The Super Bowl is important to San Diego and we wanted to do our part for the community.”
Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill is providing its Baja-inspired cuisine to Kickoff to Rebuild, the National Football League and Rebuilding Together’s joint effort to rehabilitate low-income homes in San Diego. Then, in what could be the largest private tailgate party in the world, Rubio’s will treat thousands of fans as they enter the stadium to its famous food.
