Airmall USA, an airport concessions developer and operator of the Airmall at Pittsburgh International Airport, has opened the Boar's Head Cafe, a 2,600-plus square foot restaurant located on the Transit Level of the Landside Terminal.
"Boar's Head Cafe is the perfect option for those looking to kick off their travels with a fresh, quick, and healthy bite on the go," says Jay Kruisselbrink, vice president of development for Airmall Pittsburgh. "It is located landside before security, making it accessible to both travelers and those saying goodbye to loved ones at the airport."
Boar's Head Cafe serves quality deli meats and cheeses as well as fresh produce. Travelers looking for a lunch on the go can choose from a menu of deli favorites including freshly prepared salads, soups, panini, and classic deli sandwiches including turkey, ham, and tuna salad. The restaurant also offers options for travelers with early morning flights a variety of breakfast options, including breakfast sandwiches and wraps, as well as yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, and pastries.
Boar's Head Cafe joins several other units that have either recently opened or have signed a lease to open storefronts at the Airmall at PIT in 2012.
Earlier this year, Airmall announced that it would welcome Bar Symon to the concessions program, making it the first airport restaurant for celebrity Chef Michael Symon. Additionally, The Burgh Sportz Bar, a Pittsburgh-themed sports bar featuring Pittsburgh sports memorabilia that honor the legacy of the region's professional football, hockey, and baseball teams, announced it will open two locations at the Airmall at PIT. In March the Airmall opened Auntie Anne's and Cinnabon. Bruegger's Bagels is also slated to open in June 2012.
