More than 160 golfers teed off at the 2nd Annual Panda Cares Golf Tournament on September 11 in Beaumont, California, , which raised over $70,000 for the Los Angeles Chapter of United Way and Pasadena’s Huntington Memorial Hospital through sponsorship donations.

Representatives from the Los Angeles chapter of United Way accept a check for $35,000 from Peggy & Andrew Cherng.

Panda Cares, the community involvement program of South Pasadena-based Panda Management Company, Inc. and its restaurants Panda Express, Panda Inn and Panda Panda, has raised more than $130,000 since the tournament’s inception in 1999.

Through the donation of meals, finances and volunteers from its workforce, the Panda Cares program aims to give back to the communities it serves by improving the quality of life for children.
