SweetFrog Frozen Yogurt, the nation’s leading frozen yogurt chain, named America’s Best Frozen Yogurt by The Daily Meal, and a Top New Franchise by Entrepreneur Magazine, will welcome in the new year with a new store in Timonium, Maryland. This is sweetFrog’s 28th location in Maryland and the fifth in the Baltimore area.
sweetFrog’s newest store is owned by Patrick Beard and will be located at 2159 York Rd., Timonium, Maryland, 21093. It will be in the popular Timonium Square Shopping Center, with neighbors including Starbucks, Nalley Fresh, Jason’s Deli, Zoe’s Kitchen & Panera Bread.
Beard is a Maryland native and proven local restauranteur who owns three additional sweetFrog franchises. In 2013 at 30 years old, Beard opened his first sweetFrog location in Dundalk. The following year he opened another Baltimore-area sweetFrog in Rosedale. Most recently in June, Beard opened his third sweetFrog location in Salisbury.
Beard says sweetFrog was the perfect fit for his entrepreneurial journey because he loves the company’s community first values and believes in how much the concept resonates with kids.
“SweetFrog delivers an excellent product and has great brand recognition, especially here in the mid-Atlantic region,” says Patrick Beard. “My goal was to align myself with a wholesome, family-centric, community-oriented business where parents felt comfortable bringing their children and I found that with sweetFrog.”

“We are thrilled Patrick Beard is opening our newest sweetFrog location in the Baltimore area,” says Galleher. “Beard possesses the perfect skill set to run a successful sweetFrog. Plus, he is deeply committed to the Timonium community and will support countless local organizations, including schools, churches, and businesses, via various sweetFrog FUNdraising events and education programs. We expect Beard to continue to flourish as a sweetFrog owner.”
