Emerging coffee cafe franchise, Just Love Coffee Cafe, officially opened the doors of their latest restaurant and coffee shop in Shelby Township, Michigan. The shop, located at 49453 Van Dyke in Shelby Township, is the brand’s fifth location to open, but the first outside its home base of Tennessee. “We couldn’t be more excited to open a shop in Shelby Township. The reception to this location has been amazing,” said Rob Webb, Founder and CEO of Just Love Coffee Cafe. “When we learned the story behind Just Love and experienced the amazing food and coffee the brand offers, we knew we had to bring the concept to our neighbors in Shelby Township,” said Olsi Kapoli who owns the shop with his wife, Irsida. “This is taking the idea of a traditional coffee shop to a whole new level,” Kapoli added.
The brand has indeed put a unique spin on the traditional coffee shop experience. In addition to brewing the brand’s award-winning, hand-roasted coffees in signature drinks such as the Coco Loco, Toffee Coffee, and Nitro Coffee, guests can enjoy a wide range of hearty entrees to satisfy their breakfast, lunch or dinner cravings—all uniquely prepared on waffle irons (think panini press). Entrées such as the Womelette™, Jive Turkey, and Grilled Italian Caprese, are guest favorites. They also offer healthier options on the menu such as the Quinoa Veggie Wrap and the Hummus & Veggies plate. For those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth, their dessert menu is as fun as it is delicious. Selections such as the Fruity Pebbles & Cream Waffle and the Stuffed Nutella Waffle have become favorites among guests. Of course, patrons can purchase bags of Just Love’s hand-roasted coffee beans to brew at home.
“Our goal with all of our locations is to serve as a catalyst for love in the communities we serve,” says Just Love’s chief marketing officer, D.J. Smith. “We want friends and families of all ages and walks of life to find our shops comfortable and approachable. We want our guests to leave feeling more than satisfied. We want them to feel…well, loved. After all “love” is in our name,” Smith adds.
The brand began franchising its coffee cafe concept in 2014 when Webb partnered with franchising veteran, Alan Thompson, who has helped grow concepts into nationally recognized brands such as Gigi’s Cupcakes. “When I first learned of Just Love Coffee and saw first hand how Rob’s heart for helping others was driving everything and everyone behind the brand, I knew this was something special and something I wanted to be a part of growing,” said Thompson. Experiencing multi-digit average sales growth since the brand began franchising, Thompson attributes the concept’s success to the cultural appeal of its benevolent story and core values which resonate with both customers and franchise owners who align with its mission. “We’re partnering with entrepreneurs who are as passionate about making a positive impact on their communities as we are,” says Webb. “Love isn’t just our name. It’s the key ingredient to our success.” There are currently 20 Just Love Coffee Cafe locations under development across several southeastern and midwestern states such as Florida, Georgia, Texas, Ohio, and Alabama, with additional locations in Tennessee.
